I hate when I realize after the fact that I missed a big fashion event! My first thought? I could have been having the time of my life! Second thought? Who didn’t tell me this was happening? Third thought? I’m absolutely going next time! That’s how I felt after missing RAINN Fashion Show last year. This year, I’ll be covering the event this Saturday the 21st at the Rattlesnake Club Detroit! So here I am telling all my lovely readers, so no one experiences my three stages of fashion grief! For those who don’t know, RAINN Fashion On Common Ground is a Charity Designer and Artisan Showcase and Trunk Show. The RAINN organization stands for Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network, and fundraising also benefits Common Ground, and Haven charities. RAINN boasts almost 60 sponsors, some of which being big names. One of the most notable, is Detroit’s 98.7 AMP Radio’s Rat and Puff Show. This morning at 9am, designers and models were on air hanging out with the guys, giving away a pair of tickets to the show, a gift certificate to a spa, and a runway teaser on Facebook Live! The event will be hosted by the beautiful Ms. Michigan US Universal Sherlyn Fox, and Local 4 News personality Jason Colthorp. RAINN will feature talented artists like Mila Pershyna, designer behind the contemporary clothing line MP Fashion, and Latrice Delgado-Macon of The Styling Closet as head stylist. In addition to gourmet appetizers, you can enjoy exclusive specialty drinks dedicated and created specifically for the show.
